Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 5mm. On the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface when possible. We also recommend burning your candle for no more than four hours at a time and keeping it away from drafts.

Small variations in color, texture, surface finish, and other details can occur from candle to candle. These subtle differences are part of the character of individually made pieces and make each one a little unique.

Our candles are made with soy wax, which releases fragrance gradually rather than producing an intense scent immediately after lighting. The fragrance will build as the wax warms and the melt pool develops. During the first burn, allow the candle to burn for around 3 hours to experience its fullest scent throw.

The first burn is especially important. Allow enough time for the melted wax to reach across the surface of the candle when possible. This helps encourage a more even burn during future uses.
