• Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 5mm. On the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface when possible. We also recommend burning your candle for no more than four hours at a time and keeping it away from drafts.
  
  
• The first burn is especially important. Allow enough time for the melted wax to reach across the surface of the candle when possible. This helps encourage a more even burn during future uses.
  
  
• Enjoy your candle for no more than four hours at a time, and always keep it away from drafts, children, and pets.

If you choose to burn your candle, always place it on a heat-resistant, non-flammable tray or dish large enough to catch any melted wax, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Our shaped candles are designed first and foremost as decorative pieces. Because each candle has its own shape, size, and structure, it may burn differently from a traditional vessel candle.

Unlike a candle poured into a jar or container, shaped candles do not have walls to contain the melted wax. As the candle burns, wax may drip, pool, or flow away from the wick depending on the design. Some shapes retain melted wax more efficiently than others, while more sculptural designs may lose wax before it can be fully consumed.

For this reason, burn times are approximate and some candles may not burn through their entire wax volume. This is a natural characteristic of decorative shaped candles.
